Party Like a Rock Star

This year Megan turned 10! She hadn't had a friend party for several years so we caved and decided to let her have one this year. Her theme was, Rock Star party. She invited 12 friends. each one received a "back stage pass" invitation attached to a lanyard. Each guest was also asked to dress like a Rock Star. As they arrived at the party they were greeted at the door by "The Bouncer (Rob)" Who checked passes, and told the parents they had to leave. When all of the girls were there they started by breaking into groups of 3. They had to come up with a band name and decide who would be the singer, the drummer and the guitarist. Each group played band hero while the others cheered them on.

After that we had an intermission where the girls were able to order "concert food" from a menu. We had mini cheeseburgers, mini chicken sandwiches, cheese pizza and nachos. They could also order from the bar, where we had drinks named after famous singers, such as the Taylor (a lime rickey) or the Justin (rootbeer float). After eating we opened presents and had cupcakes.

Then we had the "main event" where the girls did karaoke to their favorite songs. They were really cute and had a ton of fun. After 3 hours though I was ready for them to leave, they were so hyped up on sugar they were going crazy! I was glad Meg could have such a good time with all of her friends
